Medicare Part A
Medicare Part A is coverage provided by the government that covers the inpaitnet (or hospital portion) of your health insurance through Medicare. For Most people, Medicare Part A comes at no cost due to paying into Medicare over your working years. Basically if you have 10 years paid into Medicare, or what they call your 40 quarters you will not have to pay a premium for Medicare Part A.
Medicare Part A Helps Cover:
- Inpatient Care in Hospitals
- Skilled Nursing Facility Care
- Hospice Care
- Home Health Care
Most people will automatically be enrolled in Medicare Part A on the first day of the month they turn 65 or become eligible for Medicare.
